To Prevent Blindness and Preserve Sight has been the mission of Prevent Blindness America for over 100 years. Located in Chicago, the national office provides vision loss prevention services to children and adults at the community level through an extensive network of affiliates and regional directors.
The Northeast Region of Prevent Blindness America
includes Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Through initiatives that promote awareness, education, screening, training, research and advocacy, the Vision of Prevent Blindness America, Northeast Region is Vision.
Vision for Life depends on the ability to access a continuum of vision care from the years of early childhood to those of the older adult. This includes public awareness of the signs and symptoms of vision problems, vision screening, comprehensive eye exams, and the ability to acquire prescribed glasses and/or treatment recommended by an eye doctor.
