Heather Howdeshell joined the Prevent Blindness Georgia Board of Directors in May 2010. Heather practices corporate law, focusing on general corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP in Atlanta. She provides volunteer legal services through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
Heather completed her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude at the University of Georgia and earned both a Master of Arts and a Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from the University of Florida. While in law school, she served as a managing editor of the Florida Law Review and was elected to Order of the Coif.
In addition to her service with PBGA, Heather is a board member of the Delta Gamma Atlanta Alumnae Chapter, where she chairs the Ways and Means fundraising committee, and a member of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.
