Prevent Blindness Georgia thanks its corporate sponsors for their generous support in the battle to preserve a lifetime of sight for all Georgians. With their assistance, PBGA will be able to provide more than 30,000 vision screenings for preschool children and 2,300 eye exams at Vision Outreach Clinics in homeless and senior centers throughout Georgia this year.

Through National Vision, Inc.’s employee payroll deduction plan and
the staging of its 13th Annual Swing Fore Sight charity golf event,
the Georgia, based optical retailer helped to raise more than $100,000 for PBGA programs last year. One of the nation’s largest retailers of eyeglasses and contact lenses, NVI is a powerful advocate for eye health throughout the country and a valuable partner to PBGA.

Prevent Blindness Georgia and has underwritten many programs and events.
Through its Third Annual Drive Fore Sight charity golf tournament,
CIBA VISION helped to raise thousands of dollars for vision screenings and
educational awareness programs.

In 2008, MetroPCS hosted a six week in-store campaign throughout metro Atlanta.
MetroPCS teamed up with its customers to raise more than $23,000 to
underwrite vision screenings and follow-up eye exams for those in need in its communities. These funds also provided vision screenings for the children at the Joseph B. Whitehead Boys and Girls Club in southeast Atlanta.
In 2009, MetroPCS hosted an in-store campaign that raised more than $19,000 to underwrite vision screenings for more than 3,200 prekindergarten children and eye exams for more than 45 financially eligible adults. In addition, 14 MetroPCS stores hosted vision screenings that resulted in PBGA and MetroPCS staff screening more than 200 individuals.
Currently one of the fastest growing wireless broadband PCS providers in the United States, MetroPCS has proven to be an extremely valuable ally to PBGA.
