Mike Loverde, Director of Advertising and Public Relations for Metro PCS, joined the Prevent Blindness Georgia Board of Directors in 2006 where he serves as the Chair for the Marketing Commitee.

Loverde earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from the University of Georgia and has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations. Since 2001, Loverde has been a key player in helping grow MetroPCS from a start up firm to one of the leaders in unlimited wireless. Prior to joining MetroPCS, Loverde held leadership positions at several marketing firms including Catspaw Productions and Babbit and Reiman Advertising.

In addition to his dedication to Prevent Blindness Georgia, Loverde serves on the Board of Directors for the Crohns & Colitis Foundation (CCFA.) Loverde is also a member of the American Marketing Association.
