EYE SEE AGAIN
Keeping Hoosier Children In Sight
Children who have broken glasses that cannot be fixed or replaced through Medicaid's "Repair & Replace" program may apply for one of our Eye See Again vouchers, which provide a glasses-only coupon the student can redeem at the nearest LensCrafters with a copy their updated prescription. This program is made possible by initial funding from the PeyBack Foundation and discount vouchers through Luxottica Retail. Click here for application.
Through our new Vision Tracker call center, we are able to follow up on vision screenings and determine whether parents or guardians are getting their children to an eye doctor and, if not, why and how we can help overcome any potential barriers to care.
We encourage Hoosiers to get an annual eye exam for themselves and their families. Here are signs your child or student may need need eye care:

Indications your child or student might need a professional eye exam:
Appearance
- Crossed or misaligned eyes
- Red-rimmed, encrusted or swollen eyelids
- Inflamed or watery eyes Recurring sties (infections) on eyelids
- Presence of white pupil in color photo
Behavior
- Rubs eyes excessively
- Shuts or covers one eye
- Tilts or thrusts head forward Has difficulty with reading or other close-up work; holds objects close to eyes Blinks more than usual and is irritable when doing close-up work Is unable to see distant things clearly
- Squints eyelids together or frowns
Complaints
- Eyes itch, burn or feel scratchy
- Cannot see well
- Dizziness, headaches or nausea following close-up work
- Blurred or double vision
