Why Prevent Blindness Indiana?

Because everyone deserves to see clearly with good vision, regardless of his or her culture, background, or economic situation.

Since 1945, Prevent Blindness Indiana continues to be dedicated to advance vision health and wellness with comprehensive education, screening, safety, and sight preservation research.

  • Thousands of Indiana children and adults have their vision screened each year.

  • Those found with possible vision problems are referred for professional treatment.

  • Children and Adults unable to afford vision care are given free eye exams and/or glasses.

Prevent Blindness Indiana's services are provided with public support and donations, a staff of 7 FTE and trained volunteers. Clearly, Prevent Blindness Indiana accomplishes its dedicated work with impressive efficiency.

We find solutions for those who can’t afford quality eye care with these services.

  • Gift of Vision

  • Vision Service Plan Vouchers

  • Vision USA

Prevent Blindness Indiana has trained, dedicated volunteers throughout Indiana who do vision screenings and eye health education in their communities. We train volunteers all over our state to do vision screenings in places like...migrant camps, public & private schools, churches, day care centers, Amish communities, preschools, community centers, senior centers & company health fairs.

Your contribution to Prevent Blindness Indiana helps save sight across the state!
