Screening Education Training
Prevent Blindness Nebraska's vision is for all Nebraskans to enjoy a lifetime of good vision!
SCREENING
Screening the eyes of children and adults throughout Nebraska each year, our vision screenings help detect preschoolers at risk of vision loss from lazy eye (amblyopia) and adults threatened by glaucoma or other serious vision problems.

EDUCATION
By working through numerous venues to get the word out on better eye health through brochures, fact sheets, special events and our website and links, we educate Nebraskans about early detection of eye disease and prevention of accidents that can cause permanent loss of sight.

TRAINING
An important program offered by Prevent Blindness Nebraska is the training and certification program for adult and children's vision screeners. Using the unique and tested Prevent Blindness America screening certification program, individuals across the state of Nebraska are assured a level of knowledge, skill and competency to accurately and confidently screen individuals for potential vision problems. ADVOCACY
Working with government officials in Nebraska and also at the national level, Prevent Blindness Nebraska provides grassroots advocacy that will improve our nation's public health policies.
