Swing for Sight Raises $5,000 to Benefit Prevent Blindness Tennessee

Nashville—  The 26th Annual Swing for Sight Golf Classic presented by Eye Care Plus, Cornea Consultants, Tennessee Retina, and Country Entertainer Vince Gill raised $5,000 to benefit Prevent Blindness Tennessee (PBT).  More than 60 golfers and friends joined together for the event to increase awareness of eye health and to raise funds in support of programs that provide vision health services to uninsured Tennesseans.

“As an eye care professional, I see all too often how neglected eye care can result in irreparable vision loss,” said Dr. Everton Arrindell, Ophthalmologist and PBT Chairman. “The patient factors that contribute to this neglect are many but include lack of information and access to eye care. Prevent Blindness Tennessee’s programs connect children and adults in need with vision health services to prevent blindness and preserve sight for a lifetime of good vision. We are grateful for the support of donors and volunteers who help make these vital resources available for people when they need them most.”
