The charge of Prevent Blindness America's Scientific Advisory Committee is as follows:

To recommend research, scientific and medical policy; to ensure accurate representation of such in all materials and programs of the organization; and to channel recommendations from the Pediatric Advisory Committee and the Adult Vision Advisory Committee to the board of directors.
