Eyes on Capitol Hill
February 13-14, 2008

Apply Online Today

Eyes on Capitol Hill is a special program for people with chronic eye conditions to speak out about the importance of vision health care and research, and to share their personal stories with lawmakers in Washington, D.C. The program is sponsored by Prevent Blindness America, with the generous support of Pfizer.

The Ohio 2006 Eyes On Capitol Hill delegation visits Representative Ralph Regula (Canton), Chairman of the Labor HHS Appropriations Committee, at his office on the Hill.

Prevent Blindness America is looking for powerful personal stories. How has eye disease, vision impairment or blindness made an impact on your life? How do you think lawmakers can improve vision health for all Americans?

There are a limited number of scholarships available for individuals with the most compelling stories. Scholarships will be awarded by a volunteer review committee at Prevent Blindness America after the December 4, 2006 application deadline. Those people not winning a scholarship are welcome to participate at their own expense.

Applicants will be notified of their status by December 22, 2006. No travel arrangements should be made prior to your notification.
