In 2000, Prevent Blindness America formed a legacy society to recognize the thoughtful individuals who included funding for our future programs and services in their estate plans. The Nina Mason Pulliam Legacy Society is named in honor of a former Prevent Blindness America board member and tireless volunteer for Prevent Blindness Indiana.

Through foresight, Mrs. Pulliam arranged her financial affairs to carry on her charitable interests after she died. she established a charitable remainder trust that made her donor of the single largest gift, more than $4,000,000, in the history of Prevent Blindness America.

Legacy gifts to Prevent Blindness America allow our important work to continue. Services supported by legacy gifts include a toll-free hotline to thousands of callers each year who seek information about eye health and safety, vision screenings for more than 2 milion children and adults each year, advocacy at all levels of government for critical eye health and safety policies, and groundbreaking research for the treatment and cure of eye diseases.
