CHICAGO (December 2, 2005) – Carol Russell of Omaha, Nebraska has worked closely with Prevent Blindness America affiliate Prevent Blindness Nebraska (PBN) for more than twenty years, serving on numerous committees and on its board of directors in support of PBN's vital sight-saving mission that includes children's vision screenings, glaucoma screenings for adults and public education for eye health and safety.
In her ongoing role with PBN, Carol has also become a dedicated and active volunteer with Prevent Blindness America. She serves with distinction on the national Field Relations Committee and has received PBA's Richard Behrens Award for National Volunteerism. Carol's husband, Rick Russell, also a long-time volunteer and leader in the Prevent Blindness family, currently provides oversight for the national organization on PBA's board of directors.
