Prevent Blindness Wisconsin’s 2008-09 Preschool Ambassador picking a raffle ticket at Prevent Blindness Wisconsin’s annual golf outing – A Day at the Bog
Justin Paulson is Prevent Blindness Wisconsin’s preschool ambassador for 2008-2009. Justin was screened at Concordia Lutheran School in Racine by Prevent Blindness Wisconsin volunteers. At the screening, Justin saw the 20/40 line in his right eye and 20/80 in his left eye. He also failed the stereopsis "game”. Up to this point, his parents, Michelle and Chris Paulson, had no idea that their son needed glasses. After taking Justin to an eye doctor, he was diagnosed with amblyopia and anisometropia. Only after learning that he needed glasses did his mother begin to watch him more closely and she noticed that Justin was squinting and tilting his head. Justin had recently gone through his regular check up at the pediatrician and passed his vision screening.
Justin now wears his glasses faithfully and gets compliments on them all of the time. Justin has a younger sister, Krystal and according to his mom, likes all things BOY.
